How to Delete a Group

To delete a group, you must make it inactive first:

• Click the red Active button in the right column.
• Confirm you want to make the group inactive.
• Check the box to the left of the group name.
• Click the Delete icon at the top of the page.

🛡️ Note: Deleting a group only removes the group itself—it does not delete any recipients or desktops that were in the group.

Groups That Cannot Be Deleted

• System Groups: The global All Recipients and All Desktops groups cannot be deleted. You may, however, make them inactive so they are not available when sending messages.
• Data-Integrated Groups: For locations using data integration, some groups cannot be deleted. Any groups created and synced through sFTP, Azure AD data import, Paylocity API, or Data Connector cannot be deleted from the Groups page.

🛡️ Notes: Making a group Inactive keeps the group in your account but hides it from being available when sending messages. Deleted groups are permanently removed from the Groups page but their recipients or desktops remain in the system.
